STC - Parental Control Music ad 2024
Brief & Story
We were approached by Habbar to animate a song Habbar created for STC. This was a big project and was needed in record 16 days. We rushed to assemble a team and the result were tough. We colored everything and got it approved but were then set back a month after delivery to change all the colors. The client did not have a set shot list so I had to come up with all the visuals for the song in a way that best represent the lyrics. The lyrics are about STC's new parental control guide, where it speaks about the dangers of giving your child a phone without supervision. The phones sucks in the boy and introduces him to many anonymous players that could threaten him. However the parents come in to save the day. They lock the monsters up, create a safe pathway for the kid even when they are not around. They also lock some apps, put an age restriction, and protect him from evil ideas and callers. They finally rush to escape from those evil avatars on top of their phone till they jump over the parental control Dam which keeps all the evil avatars out. We then show how the parental control features on all your devices and will keep your family home safe and secure.

Storyboard & Layout Fixes
After designing everything, we jumped into fixing the storyboards with the latest character designs to lock all our layouts. Everything was happening so quickly and the amount of shots and artists was increasing.
Color Script v1
First pass for the color script had many of STC's secondary colors and it was approved by Habbar at the time.

We finished on time and sent this colorful version to the client after many long nights and fights to make everything finished within the 16 day period.
Client's Feedback
Client came in a month later and asked that we change everything to fit their official illustration look that was way simpler and had more whites than colors. We were all shocked but we push on to fix everything within another 16 day deadline.

At last we finished 3 months later. Due to constant fixes and changes to the color. However the final look turned out to be cute and effective. We were happy with the final result and I contributed some sound effects to the music to compliment the movements as much as possible. WHAT A JOURNEY! tough but that's how it is with big companies that have a very distinct Brand with international agencies handling it.
I must thank each and every single person who went through this struggle with me to make this happen in record time, and remained steadfast till the end. It was hard but the results were fun and delivered what the client needed on time.
